The origin of our unique beer diversity and brew culture in the beer culture city goes back to the Jahr1384 - temporarily competed up to 27 Ehinger breweries for the favor of beer lovers. In Brewpub Schwanen the beer history began in 1697 and will be continued in 1864 in the now fifth generation of the family Miller. Schwanen - we live beer diversity More than 19 different beer types throughout the year sharpening our unique profile and make us one of the variety most breweries in Germany. As in 2005, also due to "Micha's brewing seminars" our brewery became known beyond the borders of the beer culture city, it was clear that a further milestone had to be set. Dipl. Brewmaster and Beer Sommelier Michael Miller brought the character most "international" craft beers of the best German brewers in our brewery! Now you can be pampered in the Schwanen of 30 beers!
Normally the restaurant is very good, not today! A pity!!!
Very good typical brewery - the beers are just delicious. My favorite was the cheering beer. A highlight is the friendly service on all days, super nice and courteous. The beer menu with perfectly coordinated beers was great. Keep it up even if the government has once again decided on a lockdown. We have a heart for restaurateurs - thank you.
Food was excellent, service quick, attentive and friendly
Nice attentive staff
Great to recommend class
Very friendly service. Great food. Prices very humane. It was a nice evening.
Great food, great service. Very courteous staff.
Maggi Texicana Salsa Sauce
Schnitzel, salad very good, gusset beer also very good, very friendly, attentive service. Locally very clean. Particularly noteworthy beer menu, approx. 70 types
We, two couples, were at Gasthof Schwanen on Saturday, July 18th, 2020. The men were in the brewing class and we women got a seat after a walk in the beer garden of the inn (even without a reservation). We ordered a Swabian salad with fried dumplings and fresh, homemade lemonade. After a manageable waiting time, we got our food. Unfortunately, I had a couple of dumplings, let's say, more than fried. On my advice to the friendly service staff, we got fresh fried dumplings at the table without hesitation. The salad was delicious with a French dressing. I can also recommend the homemade lemonade. A pleasure, also visually. What I would also like to note very positively that the cutlery and the serviette packed in a bag and not just lying on the table. The beer brewing seminar was a complete success, the food and drinks were delicious. Our men had fun and also learned something. We can also fully recommend this event.
I have been here many times in the past and twice after the shutdown and the food and beer is still as good as before. I like the mood of the restaurant and the concept with quality in a mixture of modern (e.g. craft beer) and tradition appeals to me. I can recommend it
We were on 3.1. with 9 people eating there. Two people who were there have been here several times and were always satisfied and recommended the restaurant. We already reserved a table on December 2nd. When we arrived nothing was known about a reservation. The restaurant was still empty and we still got a place. It was ordered 3 times roast venison, 1 time without Brussels sprouts. Has come 3 times without Brussels sprouts. There was complaint and the Brussels sprouts came after we finished eating. The roast venison was very dry and not comparable to what I knew as venison roast. Furthermore, 3 more pork fillets with spaetzle were ordered, 3 times more likely to be identified as a small schnitzel (we previously knew Fielt) with potato salad, which was dressed with generous vinegar. This was also complained about and the spaetzle was delivered without sauce. It came a few minutes later when the spaetzle was already pretty cold. All 9 meals were insufficiently warm from the start when they were served. Also the two people who have been here often have said such a mess and they would never have had such bad food here. The price-performance ratio was far from it, at least that day.
Fine beers in different types. That with the beer tasting (3 types of 1dl on a wooden board) is a great thing. The menu is extensive. The burger was very fine and well presented. Only the service in the beer garden was not so prompt but I was the only guest outside (late autumn) and inside it was almost full, so understandable.
Extremely delicious food! Very friendly staff! Absolutely great!
Everything was great. But! The lady (from the waitress or owner (blonde, late 40's with glasses) is very outrageous and very rude.) To deal with guests was not learned .The mood was gone. Unfortunately, only three stars.
I've been living in Ehingen for a few years now. Nobody has recommended eating there so far. The food is spicy and the spaetzle does not taste good. It was very watery. From the price you expect something better! Why is there no list in the menu of the beers ?? (Winter map)
I'm absolutely satisfied and it's just great that beer culture has a life. As an old man, I love it when the tradition of "Broatwurscht with Eidepfelsalat" still lives. I do not come often but for that very much in "Schwana"
Here only the restaurant is rated. I can not comment on the hotel since I was only eating. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience when entering the restaurant. We were greeted immediately and got a table, even without a reservation. The high chair for our little was also no problem. To stay with the topic child: very positive is the existing changing table on the toilet. The small portion of homemade spaetzle for the child was brought before the drinks :-) The menu is really good. Not overloaded with 100 different dishes where you can not decide. It is clear, German-Swabian, includes vegetarian and a vegan dish. There is also a seasonal theme card. Wild right now! We had the venison goulash and the Zwiebelrostbraten. The goulash tastes awesome and super tender. The roast meat was on the point medium, the meat the highest quality in the taste. With one of the best roast meat I've ever eaten. To the drinks: the beer card almost killed me. If you enjoy the beer here, you will be 100% satisfied. In addition, you can book a brewery tour or participate in the beer seminar. Value for money is absolutely fine. I'll definitely come back here.
Very delicious food, very friendly staffs, fantastic beer... 110% Happy.
The food was very tasty, we were there in a group of 40 people yesterday and let us go. Unfortunately, the very unfriendly and nasty service was noticed negatively, only a younger colleague did a good job. Enjoy eating again if the customer is treated as such!
Delicious and typical German food, was too hungry to take pictures properly!
We were there on vacation and had the beer menu. The food was great, the malt potatoes just great. Pure from the food I would have 5 stars. The star deduction came in for a few things that struck me. We had reserved at 18 o'clock and the mentioned menu in our arrangement, it was almost pre-ordered and had to wait for a 3/4 hour until the salad came. The children, 3 and 5 years, had to wait even longer for their schnitzel or fish fingers. Maybe little kids are not the usual clientele, even though they have a great kids' menu with fair prices and also coloring pencils, but these simple kids dishes could be brought faster. Quality was great. The staff is friendly, but somehow in the service visually no concept. Most a bit casual and the other with a vest and bow tie. That does not quite fit together. Could be a little more consistent. My main criticism is the long time until the food came, but that seems to be common in the area, because in another restaurant we had to wait so long.
